Description
Submerged rocks abstract / background / pattern
This picture depicts the colorful rocks and pebbles in the clear and ice cold water of Lake Superior. It was photographed at the Lake Superior provincial park, on the north shore of Lake Superior, on a cloudy day around noon time - to obtain the best visibility and depth of field. The water at this end of the lake is extremely clear, and the visibility on a clear sunny day can be up to 50-60 feet.
Lake Superior is the largest of the five Great Lakes on the USA-Canada border, and the largest body of fresh, unpolluted water in the world. The southern shore is mainly low and flat, but the northern shore is beautiful and very rugged with islands and cliffs rising to spectacular heights.
When you purchase this print, the FineArt America watermark shown in the right lower corner will be removed from the image.
