Description
Hallandale Beach water tower. This colorful water tower was built very close to the Atlantic beach in Hallandale, and even closer to a fire station. Hallandale became a town during the great Florida boom of the 1920s, and in 1947, when its boundaries expanded to the Atlantic Ocean, Hallandale Beach became a city.
The colorful tower went through major repairs and the original beach ball paint job in the early 1990s. It quickly became a landmark for the city.
This image is a painterly rendition of an original photograph.
